Yubico YubiKey 5 NFC
Hardware MFA that ends phishing for the accounts that matter. If you carry access to customer or production systems, this belongs on your keyring before anything else here.

The verdict
Not on my desk yet — a pick I would buy, scored 9.0 out of 10.
This is a pick I would buy, not one I have logged months on yet, and I would rather say so than pretend otherwise. When it lands on the desk and clears month three, the verdict here gets updated with what actually held up. How I rate gear.
What works
- Phishing-resistant hardware second factor
- Plugs into any USB-C port on a laptop or desktop
- FIDO2, U2F, TOTP, and smart-card support in one key
- Buy two and register both, or a lost key locks you out
Scored on four things
How it earned a 9.0
Build that lasts Judged after months, not after the first hour out of the box.
Call-readiness Quiet clicks, no focus hunting, no fan noise, light that flatters.
Comfort at hour six How it feels late in the day, not in minute one.
Value for the money A cheaper pick that does ninety percent of the job often wins.
